1. B&B diving- This is a small privately owned quarry. My dad and I go SCUBA diving there often in the summer. I have had many fond memories there. In the summer if you go SCUBA diving there you can see little fresh water jellyfish.
2. Mount Washington- This is a very historical site. It is very nice up there. There is a statue of Washington kneeling down with a Native American.
3. Carnegie Science Center- This is another Carnegie museum. This one has lots of hands on activities and is very educational. It has Sports Works near by: a building that has lots of fun activities like a giant trampoline and a mini gulf course.
4. Lake Erie- This is one of the Great Lakes. It is very nice to go up there and just swim around. There is sand and some picnic areas. My family went there for a weekend and it was really nice.
5. Kennywood- This is an amusement park. It is famous for it's Phantoms Revenge. I have gone there many times with friends and family and I always go on the Phantom. The park is huge. You can stay there for a whole day and still manage to miss something.
6. Andy Warhol Museum- This is a museum that is located within Pittsburgh. It is a fabulous art museum. I have gone down with my family and I am absorbed at how much artwork is there. Trying to interpret what the artist is trying to portray is always fun when you hit an abstract piece.
7. Carnegie Museum of Natural History- This is a history museum that is located within the city of Pittsburgh. It is a part of the Carnegie museum chain in Pittsburgh. It has a nice dinosaur collection. I have gone there many times and have seen the dinosaurs and the architecture sections within the museum. It is very interesting and they always have a new section.
8. Frick Museum- This is a museum inside the Frick family house. The museum shows the artwork the Frick's had. It is a nice museum, not as big as the Carnegie museums but it is still very nice. I was at the Montessori I went on a field trip there and we got to admire the art work and different items they have.
9. Fips Conservatory- This is a really nice public garden. It has quite a diverse collection of exotic plants in it's different sections.
10. Heinz Hall- The Pittsburgh symphony Orchestra preforms there. They are really good. The best part is Yo Yo Ma is coming to Heinz hall on October 16th.
